Public Pensions & Government Benefits

Organize government-pension and benefit questions before comparing income.

Directory open. Calculators in development. The links below connect published topic directories. Calculator pages are linked below and clearly marked as in development until their working tools are ready.

What this directory covers

A public-pension estimate depends on the program, the person’s record and the date income begins. Program eligibility, a quoted maximum and an individual entitlement are different things. Keep a planning assumption separate from information in an official benefit statement.

Information to gather

Gather age, intended start date, available contribution or residence records, other relevant income and the payment period being compared. For a household comparison, keep each person’s eligibility and income separate before combining cash-flow totals.

  • Age and intended start date
  • Relevant official pension estimates
  • Contribution or residence information
  • Other income and household context
  • Monthly or annual comparison period

Important boundaries and next steps

A planning model does not determine an entitlement or replace an application. Use the responsible authority for official records and decisions. Registered-account decumulation is a useful next step when combining pension income with withdrawals from personal savings.

Planned calculators

The pages below are published placeholders for navigation. Their calculators are still in development; none currently provides a working calculation.

Official reference points

Start with the authority responsible for the rule or program. Verify the exact jurisdiction and effective date; a general reference does not establish eligibility or a numerical result.
