CAFinanceCalculators.com is an independent Canadian financial education website operated by MAFHH INTERNATIONAL LTD. Our purpose is to make financial calculations easier to understand: what goes into an estimate, which rules apply and what the result leaves out.
The Canadian calculator library is under development. The current website explains our publishing standards and provides a way to ask questions or report concerns. As tools become available, each needs a defined scope and its own sources.
How we relate to USFinanceCalculators.com
CAFinanceCalculators.com and USFinanceCalculators.com are sister websites operated by MAFHH INTERNATIONAL LTD. They serve different financial systems. The Canadian site focuses on Canadian dollars, provinces and territories, Canadian tax and benefit programs, and Canadian lending conventions.
A method suitable for a US mortgage, retirement account or tax return is not automatically suitable in Canada. We develop Canadian explanations from the relevant Canadian sources instead of changing country names in US material. Each website also has its own privacy disclosures.
What we cover
- Housing: mortgage planning, affordability and provincial or municipal property-transfer costs.
- Tax: federal and provincial income tax, payroll and business scenarios.
- Retirement: pensions, registered-account withdrawals and retirement planning.
- Wealth: saving, registered accounts, investing and debt decisions.
How we explain the numbers
A useful result needs context. Our editorial standards require clear assumptions, meaningful update dates and references to primary sources. The calculation methodology explains the documentation and numerical checks required for new tools.
A formula can be correct yet unsuitable for a particular situation. That is why important exclusions belong next to the result, rather than only in a general disclaimer. If an example or source appears wrong, use our correction process to flag it.
