Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small browser records used by websites. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and analytics beacons. A service can process request data even if it does not set a cookie. This policy should be read with our Privacy Policy.

Current public-site configuration

The Canadian site currently uses WordPress and a Cloudflare analytics beacon. The public-page inspection on October 27, 2026 did not identify Google Analytics, Google AdSense or another advertising tag. We do not import the US sister site’s advertising or cookie inventory into this policy. A single inspection cannot establish every response that a hosting or security system may generate.

Necessary administration and security

WordPress can use cookies for authorized administrator authentication, security and preferences. WordPress and security systems may use additional records when someone attempts to sign in. These administrative functions are distinct from anonymous browsing. Hosting protection may also respond differently to suspected automated or malicious activity.

Cloudflare measurement

The site includes Cloudflare’s beacon for traffic and performance measurement. Cloudflare describes its Web Analytics service as using neither cookies nor local storage to track visitors. The beacon still makes network requests and reports usage or performance information; “cookie-free” does not mean no processing. Manage your choices

Your browser can block or clear cookies and site storage. Clearing cookies can sign an administrator out, and blocking scripts can affect navigation or future interactive tools. No advertising-cookie preference panel is currently offered because advertising tags have not been introduced on these pages. Browser controls are not represented as a substitute for consent where consent is legally required.

Future analytics, advertising or saved preferences

Before introducing new advertising, analytics, third-party embeds or saved calculator preferences, we need to update the relevant inventory and privacy disclosures. If consent is required for the proposed processing, the appropriate control must operate before that processing begins.

Continuing to browse is not treated as blanket permission for an unrelated new purpose. Questions about information handled beyond browser storage are covered by our privacy policy.
